<p>A carpet underlay which allows easy removal of the carpet from the floor comprises a scrim layer 4 adhered to the bottom of a cushion member 10 or carpet 12, an intermediate layer 6 attached to the scrim layer, and a release sheet 8 removably attached to the intermediate layer. When the carpet is to be lifted, the release sheet remains adhered to the floor 14. The layers 6,8 may be of non-woven material; the layer 4 may be a fibreglass open scrim.</p> |
