PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that since a guide member situated at the branch part of a paper conveying passage and guiding a paper sheet is energized by an elastic means, such as a coil spring, set performance is changed by a change with the lapse of time, by which a trouble is caused, and a removing work in case of a jam occurring is rendered difficult to make. SOLUTION: The guide member of the branch part is rockably held and moved aside by being pressed by a paper sheet to be conveyed, and returned to a reference position by its own weight.
