PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier material made of a soft polyurethane foam free from a phosphor/halogen-containing flame-retardant, excellent in impact- absorbing property and flame retardancy and not suffering from problems such as environmental pollution or lowering of flame retardancy when positioned and used outdoors. SOLUTION: The barrier material is provided with an impact-absorbing substrate material composed of a soft polyurethane foam manufactured by expanding a starting material for a polyurethane foam comprising a polyhydoxy component, a polyisocyanate component, a blowing agent, a flame-retardant and the like. The starting material for a polyurethane foam comprises as the polyhydroxy component a polymer-containing polyhydroxy compound obtained by polycondensing or dispersing an aldehyde condensate polymer in the polyhydroxy compound in an amount such that the content of the aldehyde condensate polymer in the whole polyhydroxy component is 5-30 wt.% and as a flame-retardant a malamine resin in a ratio of 5-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole polyhydroxy component. |
