PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin cutting method for excluding the cutting failure caused by the propagation of algae or the like on a cutting apparatus even when the cutting of a resin is performed over a long period of time and preventing the mixing of foreign matter with a polymer. SOLUTION: In the resin cutting method, a means for extruding a plurality of resin strands, a means for cooling the strands by water to cut them into chips and a means for adding an oxidizable substance to the strands, chip cooling water or feed water are provided.
