PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new EL(electroluminescent) element having high luminous brightness and luminous efficiency and excellent in heat resistance. SOLUTION: This element is provided by applying a new organic compound represented by formula I, II or III. The element comprises a substrate 1, a hole injecting layer 3 made from the above new organic compound, a luminescent layer 5 and a back electrode 7, which are stacked in this order.
