MARKING METHOD FOR METAL MOLD BY LASER AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking method for a metal mold by laser and apparatus therefor capable of forming a plurality of markings accurately with repeatability in the recess of the metal mold without depending on high grade technique or experiences, and capable of maintaining the shape of the marking formed by the metal mold for a long time. SOLUTION: Since the processing depth of a mirror mark 10 is determined by outputting a laser beam which has predetermined shooting pulse times n from a laser head 3a, the mark 10 having a predetermined depth can be processed without effecting mechanical external force. Each pattern such as processing shape and depth of the mark 10 is memorized so that the mark ca be formed accurately with repeatability. Furthermore the mark-processing portion can maintain the surface hardness without being annealed by the action of vaporizing heat H generating while processing so that the shape of the marking 10 can be maintained for a long time.
