PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a multilayer coating film with a multicolor trait by which it is possible to obtain a coating film which is free from color irregularities and develops a multicolor trait and further, can be easily repaired. SOLUTION: This method for forming a multilayer coating film with a multicolor trait includes (1) a process to form a first coating film by applying a first coating material containing a brilliant material to the surface of an object to be coated, (2) a process to form a second coating film by applying a second coating material containing 1-7 wt.% titanium particles for the resin solid content of the coating material to the surface of first coating film without baking and curing the first coating film, and (3) a process to form a clear coating film by applying a clear coating material to the surface of the second coating film without baking and curing the second coating film.
