PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device capable of removing bubbles in a resin coating material without taking time and labor for filter exchange or increasing a running cost and capable of preventing the adhering and the deposition of the resin on the inside surface of a pipe line or the like by homogenizing the resin coating material, and to provide a manufacturing method of electron tube capable of attaining excellent display quality in a high product yield by forming a fluorescent surface of the electron tube using the coating device. SOLUTION: In the coating device for applying the coating material on a surface to be coated by arranging a storage tank 1 housing the coating material, a circulating passage for circulating the coating material with a pump 2 and a coating nozzle 6 which is a part of the circulating passage and opposite to the surface to be coated and directly spraying the coating material, a deaerating device 9 capable of giving centrifugal force to the coating material to homogenize the coating material by making the flow of the coating material turbulent to realize the homogenization of the coating material by stirring and the deaeration by the centrifugal force at the same time is provided between the storage tank 1 of the coating material in the passage, through which the coating material is circulated, and the coating nozzle 6.
