PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher which can continuously and quickly wash dishes without remaining unwashed spots. SOLUTION: This dishwasher is equipped with a carrying means which carries dishes thrown in from a throw-in port piece by piece to a take-out port. Then, the dishes are washed on a carrying path from the throw-in port to the take-out port for the dishwasher. In this case, the carrying means is constituted by providing a plurality of holes having a larger diameter than the diameter of the dishes, and in which the dishes are fitted, and a gripping means which grips the dish under a state wherein the pressing section is pressed to the peripheral edge section of the dish being fitted in the hole.
