FLEXIBLE TUBULAR BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tubular body excellent in flexibility, resistance to impacts such as pick impacts, and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The flexible tubular body is constituted of a polymer manufactured by the polymerization of 90-10 wt.% of a crosslinkable nonbornene monomer and 10-90 wt.% of a non-crosslinkable cycloolefin monomer. The flexible tubular body is obtained by a method wherein a small caliber tube 2 is inserted into a large caliber tube 1 for the formation of a void 3 and a resin composition R comprising 90-10 wt.% of the crosslinkable norbornene monomer and 10-90 wt.% of the non-crosslinkable cycloolefin monomer is packed into the void 3 and hardened.
