STEP FOR PASSENGER CONVEYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step for a passenger conveyer, lightening weight at a low cost, which can attain energy saving of power for the passenger conveyer and lightening of weight in a building side strength member. SOLUTION: A reinforcing rib 7b of right/left symmetrical shape in a lengthwise direction is provided in a reverse side of a tread 7a, the reinforcing rib '7b is constituted by setting the dimension 7c from an upper surface of the tread 7a to the lowermost point in the central part of the reinforcing rib 7b smaller than the dimension 7d from an upper surface of the tread 7a to the lowermost point in both ends of the reinforcing rib 7b, to be further provided with a triangular solid 7e except inside made right/left symmetrical in the inside of the reinforcing rib 7b.
