PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container opening cover with an easy open mechanism having a superior opening characteristic without changing the shape of a cover panel by improving the shape of a tab tip end. SOLUTION: W, s, y, z and t are distances starting from the rivet center Q. W represents the maximum distance to an open guide line, and x represents the distance to a tab end position X on a straight line passing the rivet center Q in a parallel with the center line in a tab width direction. As to y, z and t, a tab shape satisfies the relations 2<=w/x<=3, x-2 mm<=y<=x+0.5 mm, t+0.2 mm<=z<=x+3.5 mm and x-2.5 mm<=t<=x+1.5 mm when they represent the maximum distances to the intersection point of a straight line passing the rivet center Q forming -5 deg. to -30 deg., 40 deg. to 60 deg., 1 deg. to 30 deg. each with the center line in the tab width direction and the tab end.
