PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect a temperature in a narrow range without increasing the number of temperature detecting elements in an air conditioner for a vehicle, controlling air conditioning on the basis of a temperature signal of a non-contact-type temperature sensor composed of a number of temperature detecting elements. SOLUTION: The temperature detecting element 70 is composed of a first temperature detecting element 70a having a narrow temperature detecting region per one element, and a second temperature detecting element 70b having a wide temperature detecting region per one element. The region needing the detailed information on the distribution of temperature is detected by the first temperature detecting element, and the region not needing the detailed information on the distribution of temperature is detected by the second temperature detecting element.
