PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing method of an automatic draft feeder favorable for specifically grasping the paper thickness of a draft which can be used in the automatic draft feeder. SOLUTION: A cover of an instruction manual is used for a sample of the thickest draft usable in the ADF 10. The thickness of a packing paper 100 held in order to prevent the separation/feed rubbers from being adhered to each other is set to be the same as the thickness of the thinnest draft usable in the ADF 10, and the packing paper is used as the thinnest draft sample. The instruction manual which is also used as the thickest draft sample and the packing paper 100 which is also used as the thinnest draft sample are packed and forwarded together with the ADF 10, and useful in specifically grasping the paper thickness usable by users.
