PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dropping of a throw away tip 5 particularly in applying the load in the diameter direction, to an axis O of a drill body 1 while keeping the easiness in mounting and demounting the throw away tip 5. SOLUTION: In this throw way drill having a recessed tip mounting seat 3 opened on a tip face of the drill body 1 and extended along a plane P including the axis O, on a tip part of the approximately cylindrical drill body 1 rotated around the axis O, for demountably mounting a flat throw way tip 5 provided with a cutting edge 4 on its tip, on the tip mounting seat 3, a slit 10 extended approximately in parallel with the plane P, is formed on the tip part of the drill body 1, and a part between the slit 10 and a groove wall face 3a at the slit 10 side of a recessed groove formed by the tip mounting seat 3 can be inclined to the tip mounting seat 3 side to be used as a clamp part 13.
