PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide having perovskite structure, for instance barium titanate, of which the particle diameter is small, the hydroxyl group number is small, the c/a axis ratio is large, the ferroelectricity is sufficiently strong and its manufacturing method and derivative ceramics manufactured by using the oxide or the oxide powder and a multi-layer ceramic electronic part manufactured by using the derivative ceramics. SOLUTION: Barium titanate is manufactured by the heat treatment of the mixture of BaCO3 powder with TiO2 powder of which the specific surface area is 10 m2/g or more. Oxygen partial pressure is low in the heat treatment. When the oxygen partial pressure is more than 2×102 Pa to 2×103 Pa, the temperature of the heat treatment ia 700-1000 deg.C. When the oxygen partial pressure is not more than 2×102 Pa, the temperature of the heat treatment is 600-1100 deg.C. |
