PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entertainment apparatus which can execute a software of conventional kinds. SOLUTION: In a normal mode, an MPU 100 functions as a main CPU, while a GP 110 functions as a graphics processor, and an IOP 120 functions as a sub processor. In a compatibility mode for executing a software of conventional kinds, the IOP 120 is able to execute a software of conventional kinds functions as the main CPU 110, while the MPU 100 and GP 110 emulates the graphics processor of conventional kinds.
