ERRONEOUS OPERATION PREVENTIVE MECHANISM OF MANUAL TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erroneous operation preventive mechanism of a manual transmission capable of easily grasping a reverse state and capable of surely performing regulating and releasing operation of reverse even if a reverse regulating part of high intensity is arranged in a remote part. SOLUTION: An almost intermediate part of a cable 14 is laid in the vicinity of a rocking fulcrum 3 of a shift lever 2. A reverse check mechanism 25 is arranged in a transmission 15 to surely regulate a shift to reverse with high intensity so that there is no possibility of erroneous operation only by simple cable towing operation of an operation member 6. Reverse shift operation can be performed. A quick shift can be performed. A reverse position can be clearly indicated to an operator by the position holding function of the operation member so that there is no possibility of causing erroneous operation by mutual interference between the cable for regulating the shift of the reverse and releasing regulation and the shift operation of the shift lever.
