PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a gear shift of a bicycle and a system and parts related thereto designed so as to optimize a supply of a battery energy. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling a gear shift in a transmission of bicycle, this transmission includes at least one gear wheel or sprocket with which a transmission part K is engaged by advancing and driving in a predetermined direction. In this method, a gear shift is realized by changing an engagement position of the transmission part against at least one gear wheel or sprocket. The method has a step for detecting a driving and a driving direction related to the transmission part and a step for controlling a variation related to a position of the transmission part against at least one gear wheel or sprocket when the transmission part K is driven in a predetermined direction.
