The present invention relates to the use of a herbicidal combination for the selective control of harmful grasses from the group consisting of Phalaris supp. and Lolium supp. in crops of useful plants, each combination comprising:A) one or more compounds from the group of the 1,2,4-triaznones; andB) one or more compounds from the group consisting of (het)aryloxyphenoxy-propionic acid derivatives and cyclohexanedione oximes, and to the novel herbicidal compositions defined in the description suitable for the use according to the invention.The compositions are also suitable for reducing the application rate and the phytotoxicity of the individual herbicides in the crops.
