PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an after-treatment method for a light metal formed product in which after-treatment of the light metal formed product, in panticular surface treatment can be implemented in a short time and with safety. SOLUTION: Surface treatment of a formed product 3 in an after-treatment process is accelerated by utilizing accumulated heat of the formed product 3 just after molten light metal is supplied into a mold 2 to form the product. This surface treatment contains treatment reacting with the formed product 3 by means of shower coating or immersion of a rust-preventive agent, a chemical treating agent or a washing agent to the formed product 3 accumulating heat. This after-treatment process also contains natural drying of a treated product by means of remaining heat of the formed product 3.
