摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration method, in which a granulated activated carbon adsorbing an organic chlorine compound in use at water treatment is regenerated in a regeneration furnace, and which enables to minimize an organic chlorine compound contained in an exhaust gas in a regeneration furnace. SOLUTION: In regenerating the granulated activated carbon 22 which adsorbs the organic chlorine compound in the regeneration furnace 10, the exhaust gas generated in the regeneration furnace is given a contact with a solid catalyst 60 for oxidized decomposition of the organic chlorine compound. For instance, by installing the solid catalyst inside of an after-burner (an exhaust gas burning device) 26 in the regeneration furnace 10, the exhaust gas is contacted with the solid catalyst.
