PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a structure of a tear-opening portion for inflation and development formed in an inner cover in an air bag system for a front a passenger seat. SOLUTION: An outer periphery tear-opening portion 37a facing an opening part of an air bag case is provided in the inner cover 32, a center divided portion 37b which is divided into two substantially at a center along the right-and- left direction of a vehicle surrounded by the outer periphery tear-opening portion 37a, each one end of reinforcing plates 41, 41 are fixed to back sides of front and back tear-opening portions 38a, 38a to be divided by the center divided portion, a fragile portion formed in the center divided portion comprising through holes having different angle of inclination from each other is formed by irradiating the laser beam in a moving manner while the angle of irradiation is changed in the longitudinal direction of the fragile portion of the center divided portion from back sides of the front and rear tear-opining portions, and the fragile portion is reinforced so as to withstand the external pressure. |
