PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the efficiency of nucleic acid amplification as accurately as possible and its use on the method of determination for nucleic acid that it is thought to be most accurate. SOLUTION: This method for determining the efficiency of target nucleic acid amplification includes a) a process for preparing the diluted series of a target nucleic acid, b) a process for amplifying the target nucleic acid under the previously selected reaction condition (here, the above nucleic acid amplification is measured at real time), c) a process for establishing a signal threshold value, d) a process for determining the cycle number over the above signal threshold value on each diluted products and e) a process for determining the amplification efficiency as the function of the primary amount of the target nucleic acid. The method for determining the target nucleic acid contained in a sample is carried out by determining the efficiency of the amplification reaction by the above method and considering it in the determination. |
