PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and certainly manufacture a low specific gravity silicone rubber elastomer excellent in heat resistance and reduced in the change of physical properties with the elapse of time without generating a problem from a viewpoint of work. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the low specific gravity silicone rubber elastomer, a thermosetting silicone rubber composition containing a hollow filler made of an organic resin is molded under a condition not destructing the hollow filler, and the hollow filler is destructed in a secondary curing process.
