SOLUTION: This coated hard tool has a base material 2, and a coating film 1 formed on the base material 2. The coating film 1 is made of a material including, for example, TiCN, has the internal stress of -10 GPa to 0 GPa, and a surface side and a base material side as a rear surface side have the stress difference of 1 GPs or more.
