PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back-up roll and a rolling method for a cold rolling process which can effectively cold-roll steel sheets into a satisfactory form. SOLUTION: The back-up roll for the cold rolling process which consists of hard metal at least on a surface of a roll body 1 such as a sleeve 3, and the rolling process which introduces the back-up roll in contact with a work-roll of the cold rolling process for cold-rolling to the back-up roll, are provided.
