A mixer (10) is disclosed for mixing livestock feed (12). The apparatus (10) includes a container (14) for receiving the feed (12). The container (14) includes a housing (16) and a wall (18) extending away from the housing. The wall (18) defines an opening (20) and an enclosure (22). An auger (24) is disposed in the enclosure (22). The auger (24) is rotated by a final driven wheel (28) which is disposed within the housing (16). The final driven wheel (28) and the auger (24) are together as a unit removable and replaceable relative to the housing (18) and enclosure (22) respectively. When the final driven wheel (28) and the auger (24) are together as the unit removed, direct access to the final driven wheel (28) is permitted.
