PURPOSE:To improve printing processing capability by correcting the counted value to a preset value when the accumulated counted value of dot numbefs printed for every printing pin is smaller than the preset value determined in response to the temper ature of a printing head, holding the counted value when the counted value is larger, and using the counted value as the temperature of each pin. CONSTITUTION:After initialization S01, a preset value, which is determined with the temperature data of a print head obtained by converting the output of a thermistor housed in a print head from a memory circuit. The initial value of each pin accumulating dot counter is set S03 through a correcting circuit. Then, the specified value is subtracted S04 at a specified period. When printing data are inputted under this state, each accumulating dot counter counts the driving times of each printing pin for printing of one line. THe correcting value corresponding to the average temperature of the print head is determined. When the counted value is smaller than the correcting value, the correcting value is rewritten ad as the preset value. When the counted value is larger, the counted value is not written, and the next processing is performed. When the counted value is larger than the preset value based on allowable temperature at this time, the processing is waited until the counted value becomes less than the allowable temperature. |
