PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shrinkable packing material having a high shrinkage within a low temperature range, providing a shrunk package having beautiful finishing, excellent in transparency and a strength against sticking, and suitable for packing a heavy goods having an angle by weaving a specific flat yarn as warp or the like. SOLUTION: This shrinkable packing material is obtained by weaving or knitting a flat yarn comprising 50-95 wt.% ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having properties of (i) 0.1-10 g/10 min melt flow rate, (ii) 0.90-0.93 g/cm<3> density, (iii) 80-125 deg.C maximum peak temperature (Tm) measured by a DSC and (iv) 1.8-3.5 molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) and produced by using a metallocene catalyst, and 5-50 wt.% low density polyethylene obtained by a high pressure radical method, as warp and/or weft. The shrinkable packing material is preferably produced by laminating a polyethylene-based resin layer on one or both faces of the woven fabric. |
