PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to protect operation control button from an undesired operation by installing a protecting door in front of the operation control button. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises an operation control panel(60) having an operation control button(61) and a display unit(63) for displaying operation state of air conditioner, and which is installed at a surface of an air conditioner body; and a door(70) coupled to the front of the operation control panel so as to cover the front surface of the operation control panel. The operation control panel includes a stopper protrusion section(67) having a hole(67a) and which is arranged at the lower portion of the operation control panel, and a latch insertion section(65) arranged at the upper portion of the operation control panel. The door includes a door stopper section(77) having a rod(77a) to be inserted in a rotatable manner into the hole of the stopper protrusion section of the operation control panel; and a latch protrusion section(75) to be coupled to the latch insertion section of the operation control panel in such a manner that the latch protrusion section is detachable from the latch insertion section. The door has a transparent window(73) for allowing the display unit of the operation control panel to be seen.
