<p>An apparatus for creasing and folding sheets of flexible sheet materials. The apparatus includes a creaser mechanism (1) for creasing sheets, a fold mechanism (100), a feed mechanism for feeding sheets from the creaser mechanism to the fold mechanism (100); and a control system for controlling the apparatus, wherein the fold mechanism (100) includes a pair of rollers (111, 113) having a nip (123) into which a sheet of material (7) is inserted to create a fold (7b), and an inserter mechanism (121) for inserting a sheet (7) into the nip (123), said inserter mechanism (121) including a knife element (129) having an edge (131) that is arranged to engage a sheet (7) along a crease and to insert said sheet (7) into the nip (123) to produce a fold (7b) along said crease.</p> |
