PURPOSE: A torque reduction system is provided to prevent durability reduction of transmission and increase allowable capacity of transmission by reducing transmission output torque through detection of first and second stage speed change. CONSTITUTION: A torque reduction system comprises a speed change detection switch(9) arranged to a transmission case(1) in such a manner as to correspond to the front end of a control shaft(3), and which is turned off when the control shaft is selected into third, fourth and fifth stages and reverse stage and turned on when the control shaft is selected into first or second stage, so as to transmit on/off signals to an electronic control unit; an injector which operates to inject fuel by the fuel injection amount controlled by the electronic control unit in accordance with the signal transmitted from the speed change detection switch; an ignition coil operating in an ignition timing controlled by the electronic control unit in accordance with the signal transmitted from the speed change detection switch; and a throttle valve for controlling an air-fuel ratio by the electronic control unit in accordance with the signal transmitted from the speed change detection switch.
