PURPOSE: Fixing structure of a gearbox for a steering system is provided to absorb force applied in rolling or suddenly turning to a combination portion of a bush, and to prevent the bush from being pulled or displaced by inserting two bushes to a fixing hole of a gear box flange. CONSTITUTION: A fixing hole(1b) is formed in a flange(1a) of a gearbox, and a fixing member(2) is combined with a vehicle through the fixing hole. The fixing member is composed of a rubber bush(3) inserted to the fixing hole of the flange, a rubber assembling bush(3') inserted to the lower part of the fixing hole to combine the bush, and a bolt(5) combined with a nut(6) to mount the gearbox in the vehicle through the bushes. An internal threaded part(3a) is formed in the bore of the bush, and an external threaded part(3a') is formed in the outer periphery of the assembling bush to thread-connect. The bushes inserted to the fixing hole from upper and lower parts absorb pressure applied to the gearbox and the fixing member in rolling or suddenly turning the vehicle. The impact is absorbed with the lower assembling bush in lifting the bush, and with the upper bush in applying the force to the assembling bush by thread-connecting.
