PURPOSE: A stator winding method for single phase induction motor is provided to prevent increase of motor input and reduce harmonic noise caused due to empty slots, while achieving an improved performance and efficiency of the motor by increasing the starting torque. CONSTITUTION: A stator winding method is characterized in that a main coil(M2), a speed control coil(C3,C4) and a sub coil(S2) are alternately wound according to a predetermined rule, so as to avoid generation of empty slots from among 36 slots of the stator core. The main coil and the speed control coil are led from the 5th slot of the stator core, and wound in the order of 8th-12th-9th-10th-13th-14th-17th-21st-18th-19th-22nd-23th-26th-30th-27th-28th-31st-32nd-35th-3rd-36th-1st-4th-36th slots. The sub coil is led from the 8th slot of the stator core, and wound in the order of 10th-7th-11th-15th-12th-16th-19th-23th-21th-24th-20th-26th-28th-25th-29th-33th-30th-34th-1st-5th-3rd-6th-2nd slots.
