PURPOSE: A battery life extender apparatus is provided to achieve an improved performance of battery, while allowing a user to check the charge state in an easy manner. CONSTITUTION: A battery life extender apparatus(100) comprises a state monitoring unit(30) for generating a driving signal when the voltage higher than the voltage of a battery(1) is applied between first and second power terminals of the battery; a DC pulse generating unit(10) for generating DC pulse in response to the driving signal output from the state monitoring unit, and providing the DC pulse to the first power terminal of the battery; and a display unit(50) connected between first and second power terminals of the battery, and which displays voltage level of the battery. The display unit includes a plurality of light emitting diodes; and a driving signal generating part for generating driving signals for driving light emitting diodes. The DC pulse generating unit includes an oscillator for generating a clock signal oscillating in a predetermined frequency; a switch for performing switching operation in response to the clock signal output from the oscillator; and a DC pulse generator connected between the first power terminal and output terminal of the switch, and which generates DC pulse by the back electromotive force of coil generated in accordance with the switching operation of the switch. The state monitoring unit includes a voltage detector for detecting voltage between first and second power terminals of the battery; and a driving switch operating when the voltage output from the voltage detector is higher than the retaining voltage of the battery.
