PURPOSE: A brace mounting structure for air conditioner is provided, in which brace is bent in a stepped manner, to thereby allow assembly work to be easily carried out and reduce parts count and cost. CONSTITUTION: A brace mounting structure comprises an air guide(5) having a lower end fixed onto a base pan, and coupling holes(5g) formed at the upper surface of the air guide so as to be coupled with a brace(20) through a screw(S); a shroud(9) having a lower end fixed onto the base pan, and insertion grooves(9g) formed at the upper end of the shroud, and which is arranged to face the air guide; and the brace having a body(22) bent in a stepped manner from coupling pieces(24,24') of the brace toward insertion pieces(27,27'). The brace is coupled with the air guide through the screw and coupling pieces formed to correspond to coupling holes of the air guide at an end of the brace body. The brace has insertion pieces formed by bending downward the other end of the brace body so as to be inserted into insertion grooves formed at the shroud. Since insertion pieces of the brace are arranged at the lower most position, insertion pieces are pressed into insertion grooves of the shroud upon coupling of coupling pieces with the air guide, thereby eliminating the necessity of using coupling members like a screw. |
