Pyridine compounds of the following general formula; use of the same as arthropod controllers; and intermediates for the preparation thereof: wherein R<1> and R<2> are each independently halogeno or C1-4 haloalkyl; n and m are each independently an integer of 1 to 3; and R<3> is hydrogen, NR<4>R<5> (wherein R<4> and R<5> are each independently hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, or the like), or N=CR<7>R<8> (wherein R<7> is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl, and R<8> is C1-4 alkoxy or optionally substituted phenyl).
