The virtual viewing advertising system (330) provides marketing using in scene advertisements to consumers viewing recreated events. Advertisements are inserted into recreated events without distracting from the action provided by the real event. Event data from a real event is captured either by active or passive sources. An inventory operator sets the advertisement objectives that identify the type of advertisement that is to be applied to a recreated event. The event data is decomposed (410) into high-level objects. The high-level objects are dynamically decomposed (410) based upon the advertisement objectives. The requisite advertisement inventory (430) is generated and mapped into a scene graph. The scene graph is displayed as part of the recreated event. In addition, consumer metric information can be collected, and the selected advertising inventory to be included in a scene graph can be altered based upon information known about the consumer. |
