PURPOSE: Provided is an oral composition prepared by using natural antibiotics material, bacteriocin, as a main ingredient, thereby preventing and treating periodontitis effectively, and reducing inflammation on the gum. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 0.01-1.0 wt.% of bacteriocin, 0.1-20 wt.% of flavonoid substance, 10-30 wt.% of abrasive, 20-60 wt.% of water, 1-10 wt.% of wetting agent, 2-10 wt.% of binding agent, 5-10 wt.% of preservative, 0.1-5 wt.% of fragrance and flavor material, and 2-10 wt.% of surfactant. Wherein, the abrasive is selected from the group consisting of precipitated silica, potassium diphosphate and sodium carbonate; the wetting agent is selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, glycerine, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, mannitol, xylitol, and their combination; the binding agent is selected from the group consisting of precipitated silica, xanthan gum and carboxy methyl cellulose.
