PRODUCTION OF WATER/OIL/WATER MULTIPLE EMULSION STABILIZED BY POLYBLOCK COPOLYMER

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a w/o/w multiple emulsion stabilized by using a polyethylene oxide/poly(ε-caprolactone) block copolymer as a main emulsifier is provided. Whereby, the emulsion is not sticky and glossy while having soft touch and smooth characteristics when used to the emulsion of medical supplies directly applied to the skin. CONSTITUTION: The feature which characterizes the process includes the steps of: synthesizing a triblock copolymer of a polycarprolactone-b-polyethyleneoxide-b-polycarprolactone form using polyethylene glycol and ε-caprolactone; dissolving the synthesized triblock copolymer in a mineral oil base; and mixing the obtained w/o emulsion with aqueous base.
