PURPOSE: A street lamp cover cleaning apparatus is provided to clean the street lamp cover for a predetermined time period at regular time intervals with low cost. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a motor(7) installed to a support(5) fixed to a pole arranged within a rear lamp cover; a pipe(10) penetrating through the widthwise central portion of the rear lamp cover; a rotating shaft(12) penetrating through the pipe, and which is installed to be rotatable with respect to the pipe; an extendable/retractable member(30) at an end of which is coupled to a rotating shaft(7a) of the motor through a coupling member(8), and the other end of which is coupled to a link member(14) fixed to the intermediate portion of the rotating shaft(12) through a hinge pin; a pair of elastic members(18) each of which has an end fixed to both ends of the rotating shaft(12); a brush(20) arranged to be rotatable between elastic members with a rotating shaft(22a) installed between the brush and elastic members; a brush driving motor(22) arranged on of elastic members, and which rotates the rotating shaft installed between the brush and elastic member; a timer for driving the motor and brush driving motor at regular time intervals; first and second micro switches mounted at outer surfaces of the rear lamp cover, and which detect forward and backward movement of the first support(18a) of the elastic member and control the power applied to the motor and brush driving motor. |
