PURPOSE: Provided are a rubber composition for tire tread, which has low-hysteresis property and excellent low-fuel ratio performance and keeps abradability, and a process for producing the rubber composition. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition is produced by mixing 100phr of a rubber, 40-60phr of large-sized silica having a diameter of more than 40nm, and 3-12phr of silane as a coupling agent at a temperature of 140-160deg.C and then adding 40-60phr of small-sized silica having a diameter of less than 20nm, wherein the diameter ratio of the small-sized silica to the large-sized silica is less than 2.0 times. |
