PURPOSE: Device and method for preventing the slide in a vehicle are provided to perfectly thaw a ground contacting to a tire and to prevent the slide while starting the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing the slide of a vehicle comprises a first stage(S10) measuring temperature of a ground by a temperature sensing sensor in starting the vehicle to input a sensed signal into a control unit; a second stage(S20) deciding whether the second signal is over the operation temperature of an infrared heater to finish a slide prevent function while the ground temperature is over the operation temperature; a third stage(S30) deciding whether operating the infrared heater or an up-down unit by the control unit while the ground temperature is under the operation temperature; a forth stage(S40) operating the infrared heater while the ground temperature is on an operational range of the infrared heater; and a fifth stage(S50) actuating the infrared heater and the up-down unit for reducing thaw time of the ground while the ground temperature is under the operational range of the heater.
