PURPOSE: A voltage control apparatus for vehicle generator is provided to prevent the voltage control apparatus from being broken even in an abnormal case that a high voltage is directly applied to the input terminal of the voltage control apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A voltage control apparatus(1) for a vehicle generator(2) comprises an input terminal(L) for inputting the voltage output from a battery(5) through an ignition switch(3) and a light emitting element(light emitting diode(4)) which are connected in serial with each other, wherein the light emitting element operates at a low power consumption. The voltage control apparatus starts excitation of a rotor coil(201) of the vehicle generator when the voltage of the input terminal is higher than a predetermined level. A resistor(115) for limiting the current flowing at the light emitting diode is interposed between a light emitting diode driving element(114) arranged within the voltage control apparatus and the input terminal of the voltage control apparatus.
