PURPOSE: A human brain function monitoring apparatus and method for displaying digital electroencephalogram(EEG) is provided to achieve an improved use convenience by allowing monitoring for brain blood flow of the patient to be accurately performed in a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a pre-amplifier unit(101) having a single-pole brain wave amplifier which is improved into a bipolar brain wave amplifier, wherein the pre-amplifier unit removes noise generated from electrosurgical unit so as to monitor brain ischemia, and amplifies brain wave signals by 1000 times; a main amplifier unit(103) for amplifying the noise passed through the pre-amplifier unit, removing residual noise, and obtaining a variable frequency band; and a control unit(105) for extracting a variety of parameters for diverse display by reading the amplifying signal output from the pre-amplifier unit and controlling amplification gain of the input signal.
