PURPOSE: A portable apparatus for studying foreign language is provided to use at anyplace or anytime and to prevent drop of sound quality by processing data in a digital manner by means of a digital circuit instead of a driving motor. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a key input part(110) to generate different key codes; a control part(120) to perform key-scan, to determine a system mode depending on received key codes, to carry out various functions at a determined mode; a memory module(150) to store data in a digital mode and output the stored date under a control process of the control part; an LCD driving part(160) to display data input from the data module part and status of the system; an audio driving part(170) to output the input sound data from the memory module after reproducing out of a speaker(175) or earphones(173); and a power supply(190) to receive a power source applied from any battery(193) or DC adaptor(195) and to provide the power over the system.
