MODULATOR OF INFLAMMATION

摘要

Two novel DNA binding proteins are provided which bind specifically to DNA target sites within the promoter region of the TNF- alpha gene. Also provided are screening methods based on this DNA-protein interaction which may be used to identify compounds which modulate the expression of TNF- alpha and a genetic screen for susceptibility to inflammatory disease based upon screening for a single nucleotide polymorphism in the TNF- alpha promoter.
