PURPOSE: An electron gun for cathode ray tube is provided to obtain an improved screen quality by attaching a magnet to the electrode of electron gun so as to correct the shift of horizontal spot. CONSTITUTION: A G4 electrode(10) has holes for emitting electron beam, and a shield cup(12) is attached to the top of the G4 electrode. Bulb spacers(14) are attached to four sites along the outer periphery of the shield cup, and fed with high voltage after being welded to the top of the shield cup, wherein each of four bulb spacers maintains a predetermined angle. A magnet(20) to be attached to the G4 electrode is shaped as a plate having three holes formed to correspond to holes formed at the G4 electrode, respectively. The magnet is welded to the G4 electrode so as to correct the deflection of electron beam caused due to the vertical earth magnetic field.
