PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically opening and closing a portable phone is provided to maintain a more stably opening/closing state by making a cover automatically opened by a push button and making the cover automatically and tightly closed if it exceeds a given angle when it gets closed. CONSTITUTION: A case(50) in a hinge(40) is fixed to a hinge part(25) of a cover(20). A shaft(60) in the hinge(40) is fixed to a hinge part(15) of a main body(10). The case(50) has a hole(50a), into which the shaft(60) is inserted. A fixing part(61) fixed to the hinge part(15) and an axis part(63) inserted into the case(50) form the shaft(60) in a single unit. A slot, which a snap ring(67) is inserted into, is formed in the axis part(63) so that axis direction movement cannot be done in the case(50). A hole, into which an actuator(70) is inserted, is formed in the shaft(60) lengthily in the axis direction. In one end part of the actuator(70), a slot, which a washer(66) is inserted into, is formed. An extension part(71) having an outer diameter as large as it cannot be inserted into the hole of the shaft(60), is formed in the other end part of the actuator(70).
